Some individuals enroll in a full time training program and they attend classes five or six days per week. Others attend classes a couple of nights per week and on the weekends.
Since many individuals who enter a paramedic training program are already working it can be difficult to coordinate schedules. If you already have a level of paramedic training you should talk to your employer. In most instances they will do all they can to help ensure you can have the time off to attend your classes so that you can advance to higher levels of paramedic certification.
You should inquire about tuition assistance as well because the cost of a paramedic training program can quickly add up. Many employers are willing to help cover the cost if you agree to stay working for them for a specified amount of time once you receive your advanced paramedic training. This is a good investment though for you to consider because you will know you have a job upon completing the skills to further your career.
