Sandals are the perfect shoe to wear in the warmer months of the year. They allow your feet to breath and they come in a variety of pretty styles and colors. Sandals can be worn by both sexes as well so everyone can benefit from the ease of a comfortable shoe that you can easily put on or take off. Most sandals aren’t worn with socks but some people find it is personally more comfortable for them.
One of the problems with many types of sandals though is that they don’t provide enough support for your feet or your ankles. This can lead to injuries as you walk because your foot could easily turn the wrong direction. Many people get blisters from their sandals because they are too tight or too loose. This allows the material of the shoe to rub on their feet as they walk.
You should always wear sandals that have a strap that goes around the back of your feet. This will give you additional support that slip on sandals don’t offer you. Look for sandals that offer adjustable straps as they tend to stretch over time. You can easily move the buckle to the next notch and still have plenty of support.
Various types of thong sandals seem to work well for short distances such as from your car to the beach or swimming pool. These sandals are quite thin but you are able to keep them in place due to the way the first two toes on your foot wrap around the plastic piece in the middle. Some individuals can’t stand thong sandals due to the weird feeling of having that between the toes though.
Have you ever stopped to think about the damage to the bottom of your feet from wearing sandals? This can happen if you tend to walk very hard in regular shoes. You will find that thin sandals leave the bottoms of your feet throbbing due to the lack of support in that area. There are plenty of sandals available that have a soft cushion under your feet several inches thick. Try a pair of these to make your legs look sexy and to keep the bottoms of your feet feeling good at the same time.
