Cinderella is a very popular fairy tale that has been passed down from generation to generation. The story of Cinderella is quite magical and any girl who wants to be a princess is very happy to listen to it. The story of Cinderella begins with her being worked to death by her step mother and step sisters. They are very mean to Cinderella and her only companions are the talking mice in the home.

Even though Cinderella works very hard they are never happy with her work. The step mother and step sisters continually command her to do more. Yet Cinderella find solace in singing and enjoying the various elements of nature that they can’t take from her including the birds.

The step sisters are very jealous of the beauty Cinderella holds so they are upset when all of the maidens in the town are invited to the castle for a ball. The king is looking for a bride for the prince and everyone is very excited. Cinderella is told she can go if she gets all of her work done. Yet the family sabotages her from the very start and she is left behind crying as they head to the ball.

As she cries her fairy godmother arrives to save the day. Cinderella is given a beautiful dress, her hair is done up, and she has glass slippers to wear. Her mice friends are changed into horses and a pumpkin into a carriage. As she happily heads to the castle for the ball she is warned that all will return to normal at the strike of midnight.

Cinderella immediately captures the heart of the prince with her beauty and her charm. They have a great time until the strike of midnight when Cinderella runs away in horror. The prince is very distraught as he doesn’t even know her name. All he can find as he chances after her is a single glass slipper on the steps of the castle.

The prince goes door to door in the kingdom to find the girl who the slipper belongs to. As they approach the home of Cinderella she is locked in her room. The step sisters try their hardest to fit into the shoe but it won’t happen. The mice friends unlock the door and Cinderella is able to fit her foot perfectly into the glass slipper. As she does she leaves the home to be with the prince where she will live happily ever after.
