At that time you will be seen weekly.
Some women develop medical problems during the pregnancy including gestational diabetes and blood clots. Your doctor will monitor for these types of ailments by conducting blood tests and urine tests at your appointments.
It is important to eat right and get exercise while you are pregnant so that you baby gets the best nutrition while your body isn’t depleted of what it needs either. It is advised that pregnant women refrain from smoking or drinking alcohol.
While 40 weeks may seem like a long time when you are first pregnant the time will go by quickly. There is plenty to do in the mean time including getting your home ready for the baby, choosing a name, and finding the right doctor for your care.
